Eleonor Sagadraca, one of the founding members of ReadPhilippines called upon a meeting and gathered the other three founding members, Bonette, Ninya and Jaime. Friends, families, co-workers and neighbors were involved in the collection of books. We also contacted Goodwill via email, asking for any surplus books we could salvage from the warehouse. The manager of Goodwill in Scarborough, Mr. Chris Thornton, gladly supported our cause and we were able to collect as much books as we could for our book drive. We managed to ship the boxes by offering a pick-up service of Balikbayan boxes using Jaime's van for a cargo office owned by a Filipino in exchange for a free shipping of our boxes to Infanta, Quezon.
