Our collaboration with Mi Amore Cares is intended to provide them books and education materials to supplement their Balik Basa Program in Barangay Onse San Juan City
Our recent collaboration with Project Pearls is to build a library in Helping Land, a slum community in Tondo, Manila.The library will be located in the community's courtyard where daily children activities are being held. LIBLIBRARY aims to build libraries in remote and indigenous communities such as the Tagbanua tribe which is one of the oldest ethnic groups in the Philippines. The objective is to reach out and connect with children from the farthest regions of the country with limited access to books and good education. ReadPhilippines Toronto has partnered with LILIBRARY by providing them textbooks, storybooks and educational materials.
The Quezon City Public Library and Information Center mission is to increase the literacy level in the Philippines through their resources and programs. QCPL has four book mobiles which visit schools every month to conduct reading programs and lend books to the students. We support their programs by providing books for one of their book mobiles.
ReadPhilippines partners with Pinoy Reading Buddies, a student-driven literacy intervention where learners collaborate to improve their thinking skills and decoding skills. Children literacy programs are currently in place in various parts of the Philippines. Our goal is to provide their book requirements and to engage them as partners in learning and action networks.
We have aligned our efforts with Rappler's Move.Ph DONATE A BOOK TO MINDANAO by establishing book drives to help them stock the shelves of libraries in the Philippines. An estimate of 300 books of various kinds are shipped on August 20, 2015 to the Library Renewal Partnership office in Manila.
